I have chosen to do my second Smackdown Assignment on the web tool called Note.ly. This online web tool allows users to create sticky notes on an online browser. All you need for this, is an account, which is entirely free. Using this web tool is simple. The webpage is found easily at the link: http://Note.ly. It brings you to a blank screen, with a cork-like wall. At the top of the screen, there is a row of icons. The most left icon, is a plus button. This button is the main feature for Notely. It is the tool for adding a sticky note. Next to that button is a pencil and paper icon. This is the to-do list feature, which will be explored later. And after that tool is the add image option, then the customization option. Each icon at the top, offers instructions of how to use each icon.

Many people, especially students and individuals with high stress careers, are forced to stay

As a junior nursing student at Stockton University, I find this tool extremely helpful. This
tool is not limited to any particular major, as it can be used by just about anyone who is
in search of some help organizing. Remembering, let alone prioritizing all my assignments,
exams, and essays is very difficult and stressful. With this tool, my organization has been
notably improved. With this tool, students are easily able to stay on top of their work,
as well as get ahead and work most efficiently. As a future nurse, this tool will again come in handy. Not only will I be able to use this tool within my job field, but I also will be able to utilize it outside of my career. This tool can be used in the nursing field, as nurses can use the pad to organize and triage their tasks and data to the best of their ability. Thank you for introducing this amazing note! It is so useful that I think I can make good use of it for both my school work now and my career tasks in the future. I usually use sticky notes to jot down a summary of articles I was going to use for my paper, and I found it wasteful that the sticky notes can only be used once. This website would help me a lot. It is also beneficial in the future that I can share my reminders with my colleagues to make sure we are on the right track. I think most of the careers require organization skills, and I believe all people who read your post will like Note.ly.

I like the prioritizing feature best, and I think that is what makes it stand out. I use actual sticky notes frequently within my organization, but I think having this digital tool to take care of that would increase my organization!

Project management is an effective tool that is needed in my career and I believe this tool can help me develop my planning skills for the marketing field. Emerson, I did my previous Smackdown on time management and an app that works really well for me, and so I enjoyed learning about your topic as well. I really like that Note.ly can be used for brainstorming as well as to-do lists because I often find myself having to jot littles notes down wherever I can and then when I am actually doing something I can’t find all of my notes. I know you explained about exactly how nurses can use it in their everyday life, do you think it is something you will continue to use or do you think it is really a method better suited for school?
ReplyDeleteHello, Emerson! I am addicted to sticky notes: I have them all over my textbooks, notebooks, children's lunch boxes, etc. I also have them on my desktop on my computers. I use them for storing passwords to websites I rarely visit, reminders of due dates, notes I quickly jot down, shopping lists, etc. I am constantly fearful that my computer will crash or break, or that someone will accidentally delete these notes. The Note.ly app you have presented is the anecdote to my fears! Thank you so much for sharing this!

Note.ly looks to be extremely easy to use which means there is no limit to the amount of people who can use it. Everyday, my mind is a jumble of thoughts on what to do next. This app will allow me as well as others to organize our ideas. In real life, brainstorming has always helped me complete assignments as well as get into depth about many difficult subjects.
